Big Bend
Geography and history
Big Bend is town located in the Lubombo Province of Swaziland. Its name is derived from the massive bend the Great Usutu River takes in its passage to the Indian Ocean. This town is situated in the major cane producing district of the southern Lowveld and on the tarred road to Lavumisa, the border post in the area.
This area is rich in natural and wildlife attractions as there are a few reserves in the vicinity. Located near the Lusutfu River, this picturesque town has many educational institutions, Ubombo Primary and Sisekelo High school, which paved the way for other schools with their high level of teaching excellence.
